International Women’s Day
Happy International Woman’s Day ❤️ to the women that make us better: the Mothers, Grandmothers, Daughters, Sisters, Wives, & Friends. May we all be lucky to always have your strength, perspective, guiding hand and limitless capacity to love.
I polished and finished this piece from my archives for International Women’s day. A little backstory of this piece:
I was sitting in a dance studio about 2 years back watching the experienced dancers teach the younger kids. I did a quick sketch completely forgetting I had done it until a couple days ago.
This one particular dancer was so graceful and elegant when she moved it was hypnotising. You could see the kid she was teaching just get excited seeing her dance. It’s as if she saw a glimpse of her future and couldn’t wait to be her.
I loved how one could inspire another so much that it gives purpose and motivation. I tried capturing it as quickly as my fingers could sketch. This is why I love people watching, I look for those moments in between moments, that where the real magic lies.
